Noble Network’s business trip in Ho Chi Minh City and Long An

Hoa Khai Import-Export Co., Ltd is one of our Noble Network Members who has been working closely with us on recent projects. On August 24 – August 25, 2022, thanks to the coordination and support from Hoa Khai, Noble Network successfully conducted a business trip to Ho Chi Minh City and Long An province, where we had the opportunity to meet, learn from each other, and lay the very first bricks of a new project between Noble Network and Hoa Khai: “WHEAT GROWING PROJECT IN VIETNAM”.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City – Long An Province: A Visit To Flour Company

With the purpose of seeking collaborative opportunities for the new project, Noble Network and Hoa Khai, represented by Ms. Ta Thi Kieu Oanh, visited the headquarters of one of the leading companies in the field of flour production in Vietnam and their representatives.

At the meeting, Noble Network and the Flour Factory discussed the wheat growing project in Vietnam. Additionally, Noble Network learned more about the wheat production process of the Flour Company, as well as specific wheat varieties that are in demand and of economic value in the Vietnamese market. Throughout the meeting, Noble Network and the Flour Company also discussed the possibility of collaborating on this wheat-growing project and other potential projects in the future. This meeting gave Noble Network a lot of valuable information and opportunities to develop a financial model for the project .  

Later in the day, we met with Hoa Khai Import-Export Co., Ltd. and had a very productive discussion about schedules and details related to the wheat growing project. Our second visit to Hoa Khai Headquarters left us in awe from the achievements and successes they have had in their societal efforts. In addition to becoming Noble’s strategic partner in the wheat growing project in Vietnam, Hoa Khai is also developing many new product lines and working diligently to introduce them to consumers.

At the end of our first day, we had a lot of great results and prepared for the next day in Tan Hung District, Long An Province.

 

Day 2: Long An: Site Survey In Tan Hung District, Long An Province

Thanks to the support of Ms. Ta Thi Kieu Oanh – Director of Hoa Khai Import-Export Co., Ltd., Noble Network had the opportunity meet with representatives of the local government in Long An Province and introduce them to the wheat growing project.

We were able to sit down and have a meeting with representatives from The People’s Committee of Tan Hung District, The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Long An Province, The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of Long An Province, The Agricultural Service Center in Tan Hung District, and other relevant departments. We discussed our need to find suitable land for trial planting and large-scale growth. Our efforts have gained strong support from the government of Long An Province.

After our meeting at the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Tan Hung District, Long An Province, we traveled to Hung Dien Commune, Hung Dien B Commune, and Hung Ha Commune to conduct surveys and data collection. We very much appreciate the representatives of the Agricultural Service Center of Tan Hung District, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Directors of the cooperatives for their warm welcome. We have gathered a lot of valuable information about soil, climate, and farming methods to help using the development of the wheat growing project.

 

Our preliminary assessments and discussions with local authorities in Long An Province, have shown that the local farmlands have great potential for growing wheat in these areas.

Our business trip lasted only two days, but it has provided us with a lot of value. Both Noble Network and Hoa Khai have a better understanding about each other and the trip also opened the door to many promising future collaborative projects.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ms. Ta Thi Kieu Oanh – Director of Hoa Khai Import-Export Co., Ltd., the departments and agencies of Long An Province, and the other parties who have warmly welcomed us and spent their valuable time with us on this trip. We hope that the wheat growing project in Vietnam, under the cooperation of Noble Network and Hoa Khai, will soon have positive results on farmers in Long An as well as and the development of Vietnam’s agricultural industry in general.
